Cost a labourer per day

How much would I expect to pay a labourer per day ? - manual labour , shoveling earth, mixing concrete etc

cash in hand is around £70 a day

£10 an hour for a decent labourer

On books £100...cash £60/£70 ...that’s in midlands tho and for a good un

Its the same here! Plenty of good un's too.

Some will pay£80 for a good un.. when I started it was £3 an hour on the books. Mind you, we grafted for that with 9" block and 100cwt bags etc.. no forks either, all handball. Wimps got it easy today..and thats a good thing..
