Arsenal would 'gladly' take Aaron Ramsey back

Thursday 1st July 2021

Arsenal would "gladly" welcome Aaron Ramsey back from Juventus, according to reports in Italy.

It has been claimed in recent days that Ramsey is fully focused on return to Juve and making up for lost time after a stop-start first two years in Turin.

However, reports that Juventus want to chop their wage bill this summer - with Ramsey being one of the highest earners - simply refuse to go away.

The Cardiff product - who is currently 16/1 with the bookmakers to return to his hometown club - is thought to be one of the more expendable assets by the Old Lady, but there is seemingly a determination from the player's perspective to kick on this season.

Now, though, Calciomercato say that Ramsey's exit is inevitable, stating "it will almost certainly be divorce" between the player and the club.

It goes on to report that the 30-year-old's "priority is to return home to Arsenal" and that the Gunners "would gladly take him back" at the right price.

They claim that West Ham, Crystal Palace and Everton all hold an interest in the player, but not as strong as Arsenal.

Just last week, Ramsey's agent publicly shut down talks of an Arsenal return on Twitter.

Responding to a tweet which insinuated that Ramsey's representatives and Arsenal were working behind the scenes to architect a move, agent David Baldwin wrote: "I'm sorry but can you stop making things up please. There is not a shred of truth in your tweet."
