Harry Wilson

Team : Liverpool

What's the situation?

It's all a bit up in the air for Harry Wilson at the minute.

He always said he had Euro 2020 in the forefront of his mind before he spoke with Liverpool after the tournament.

Now that has ended, it is crunch time. It was always thought that Wilson, who has been on loan to Crewe, Hull City, Derby County, Bournemouth and Cardiff City in recent years, would want to find a permanent home this summer if he couldn't break into Liverpool's first team.

Brentford and Fulham are clubs linked with permanent moves for the player, so, too, are Portuguese giants Benfica.

However, fresh reports have emerged that Liverpool are "hesitant" to sell Wilson now and want to move the 24-year-old out on loan once again next season.

If that is the case, then his former club Cardiff would certainly be interested, having already told Liverpool they'd want him back next term.

Cardiff's south Wales rivals Swansea City are also thought to be keen on a loan move, with former Liverpool youth coach Steve Cooper keen to reignite his interest in the Wales international.

Cooper wanted the 24-year-old last term before Cardiff managed to secure his signature at the last minute, but with funds freed up from big players leaving, the Swans could be in a more robust position to strike a deal.
