Neco Williams

Team : Liverpool

What's the situation?

Neco Williams was seen as the perfect back-up to Trent Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool, but has had a difficult last 12 months.

He featured only six times in the Premier League last term, despite Liverpool suffering an incredible number of injuries to their defenders, and struggled on the occasions he featured for Wales at Euro 2020.

But, at 20, he still very much has time on his side and is a huge prospect for the future.

There were initial reports that a loan move could be an option, with south Wales duo Swansea City and Cardiff City among those interested, along with Stoke City, Leeds United and Aston Villa.

Despite signing a long-term deal at Anfield, though, it has recently emerged that he could leave permanently, with reports claiming that Liverpool would reluctantly accept around £10m for the right back.

Southampton and Burnley are both clubs who have been name checked as interested parties, so his situation is certainly one to follow throughout the summer.

You have to laugh sometimes "Liverpool would 'reluctantly' accept a bid of £10m"

Surely that should read "Liverpool would be delighted with a bid of £10m" :laughing6:
