Joe Rodon

Team : Tottenham

What's the situation?

Following his move from Swansea City, which could be worth up to £15m, Joe Rodon found regular game time hard to come by at Spurs.

Jose Mourinho gave him chances on occasion, however Ryan Mason completely jettisoned him from the squad at the back end of the campaign.

It was bizarre from a Wales fans' standpoint, given how excellent he has been for his country and Swansea prior to that. The 23-year-old has got the potential to be a top operator at that level in years to come, but whether Spurs afford him that chance is largely down to how new boss Nuno Espirito Santo views him.

Should Santo take the same opinion as Mason, Rodon could find himself warming the bench once again, which is no place for such a talented player.

Similarly to Dan James, it has been claimed that Seagulls boss Potter is keen for a reunion with Rodon on the south coast.

Once again, it is thought they would want a permanent transfer, but would also entertain the prospect of a loan deal for the Wales defender.

Tottenham have also been linked with Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu in recent weeks, which could only force Rodon further down in the pecking order.

Whereas a clutch of Premier League clubs are linked with Brighton centre back Ben White and Potter believes Rodon could be the ideal replacement.
