Meanwhile, Swansea club sources have stated reports linking the Swans with a loan swoop for Harry Wilson are wide of the mark.
With Glen Williams of media Wales wrong again.

The Swans came within a whisker of recruiting the Wales international on loan last year before he joined local rivals Cardiff City on transfer deadline day.

Reports have suggested Liverpool are now open to sending the 24-year-old - who has two years left to run on his Anfield contract - back out on loan having previously wanted to cash in on the attacker.

While a move for Wilson appears unlikely at this stage, Steve Cooper is eager to add a creative player to his squad this summer.

Swansea are closing in on a deal to sign free agent Liam Walsh who was recently released by Bristol City.

The Swans have been keen admirers of the central midfielder for some time and are eager to add to their options in the middle of the park following Conor Hourihane's exit while Matt Grimes has been touted with a move away from south Wales.

And they are now hopeful of making former Everton man Walsh their third signing of the summer.

Swansea have already added Kyle Joseph and Joel Piroe to their ranks this summer.

The summer transfer window closes at 11pm on Tuesday, August 31.
