Good luck to Max Watters, who has today joined League 1 @MKDonsFC on loan for the 2021/22 season.

Max Watters has today joined MK Dons on a season-long loan.

The forward joined Cardiff City in January 2021. He will remain at Stadium MK until May 31st, 2022

Season long loan League 1 / My view: I was shocked they signed Watters making out he was top class, for now he still needs to play in the lower leagues and Mick is doing that .

Media Wales put out that City paid up to £1mill, as usual bullshit, City don’t have that kind of money available anymore, it was £250,000 and about right for a player who has spent most of his career in the lower non-leagues.

Max Watters on brink of MK Dons switch

League One outfit MK Dons are on the verge of sealing a season-long loan deal for Cardiff City's Max Watters, according to reports.

The 22-year-old forward joined Cardiff from Crawley Town back in January, having scored 16 goals in 19 games for the League Two club.

However, after a lack of game-time it is expected that the forward will depart the Bluebirds this summer.

And now, Football Insider claim that MK Dons are on the brink of securing a loan move for the striker.

The League One side are looking to bolster their forward stable after former Bluebird Cameron Jerome left for Luton Town this summer.

It appears to be a deal that makes a lot of sense for Watters, especially if he is to get some senior football into his legs next term.

Not good enough for the Championship, definitely at this point in his career.

My view is he was an impulse buy because he scored a few goals in League Two.

A very similar signing to Eoin Doyle, which also didn't work out.

We don't need Watters anyway at the moment.

We have Moore, Collins, Harris and even Vassell.

Good move for all concerned. If he scores loads of goals we can either keep him or possibly even sell him at a profit.

Don't really see that we can say definitelyhe is not good enough for the championship on the basis of him playing 60 minutes of one game and coming on as a late subsistute in two other games. That is 70 minutes of football.
