Why aren't we in for loans?

We all know MM has stated he doesn't think anyone else will be coming in.

It could be true or then again it could be the club trying to keep deals under wraps. Who knows.

But if it IS true, why are we not in for loans? We've spent nothing this window and there are some genuinely good players available for loans or even still without a club all together.

Surely the club aren't hard up to pay 1 or 2 more amounts of wages for players who come in for free... are they?

Time will tell I guess

MM said he had reached the limit of his budget. Even if we loaned a player there would be costs involved (possible loan fee, % of the wages, agent fee etc.)

The same goes for free transfers. They don't quite do what's written on the tin as wages, signing on fees, agents (again) all costs money we apparently can't afford at the moment.

So unless someone leaves the club and attracts a fee I can't see much changing if what MM said is the complete truth.

i dont think Mick was being untruthful about how it is right now , but its football and things can change...an injury or an offer for one of our players or even a rush of blood to VTs head often starts a domino effect...im sure there are a few Mick wouldnt mind going out on loan or infact selling.... id imagine if that were to happen the situation re in comings might change also...

Premier League clubs tend to loan players out after pre season games an their squad is finalised so I expect we’ll be in for someone then? We are also probably hoping that no one else signs Wilson or Bale?
