Reading and Middlesbrough target Hoilett shines with Canada
Former Cardiff City star Junior Hoilett has done his chances of finding a new club no harm after his exploits with Canada.
The winger was on target for the Canadian national side in their 2-0 win over Costa Rica in the Gold Cup in the early hours of Monday morning.
He took his chance nicely, too, latching on to a ball over the top before lobbing the ball over the opposing goalkeeper and into the net.
Hoilett was released by the Bluebirds this summer after five years with the club, having featured only once since Mick McCarthy took charge back in January.
Neil Warnock up at Middlesbrough has been linked with a reunion with Hoilett, while Reading have also emerged as possible suitors.
Both clubs will no doubt be keeping tabs on the 31-year-old's movements with the national team as Canada prepare to take on Mexico this Friday.
