Two year deal, who says we didn't offer more over 12 months. He's had a massive injury and whilst he's trained incredibly hard nobody knows if he will make a full recovery. We can't afford players who are not fit taking sizeable wages, we have two of them already in Tomlin and Vassell.

Tan has provided the money to get us up to the Premiership twice and kept us as a relatively successful championship side in the meantime, but a lot of his investment has been wasted by the management team and that's been the main problem. You only need to look at the possible salaries being quoted in "Players out of contract next summer" post to get the picture.

I didn't think we should sign him but he's better than League One.
