We've had worse. But I agree he's a spare part. 3 at the back seems to cause us more issues than benefit. An extra midfielder would help more!

I could list dozens of players who were worse passers but I can't be bothered.

Nelson isn't even the worst passer in the current side. Flint comes to mind to start with

we have had many worse passers of the ball It is just we accepted the lump up the field more in the 80s and 90s
