Derby County have appointed administrators amid the continued financial problems at the club.
Owner Mel Morris contacted club solicitors on Friday and the Rams' legal advisors gave notice to the High Court that they will appoint an administrator shortly.

The club are already facing separate points penalties for Financial Fair Play breaches and are in talks with the English Football League over their punishment.

Wayne Rooney's side now face an automatic 12-point dedication once the process is completed.

This smells of the time Leicester went into administration to wipe out debt after building their stadium. The next season they went up to the Prem.

As a result 12pt deduction was brought in.

This time Derby are already looking to be served with a 9pt deduction and almost certainly go down.

So with the expectation of going down why not chuck in administration. 9pts or 21pts.... what's the difference to them now. Wipe the deck clean and make the club a viable option next year free of debt.

Beare in mind just sold ground to owner there as to be a benefit to someone for going into administration? Smacks of financial manipulation just like sake if ground...

League 1 is a tough league to get out of. Just ask Sunderland. They have been there for 4 seasons. Ipswich struggling too.
