Ismael responds to fan unrest

Valerien Ismael has had to hit back at fans after they showed signs of unrest during West Brom's win over QPR.

While that might sound jarring to some, the Baggies were losing for 75 minutes until Karlan Grant netted two late goals to salvage a victory at The Hawthorns.

Still, it might seem bizarre to Cardiff supporters that West Brom fans, who booed and whistled both at half time in the match and when Grady Diangana was substituted, voiced their concerns given their team sit second in the league standings.

Ahead of the trip to Cardiff, Ismael has issued his response.

“I am here to make decisions - this is my decision and I know exactly what I am doing,” the Baggies boss said.

“Making substitutes is all about having an impact on the game and not bringing on a substitute for the sake of it.

“We had a clear idea of what we wanted to do and the pocket link up is one of our strengths and we knew in that moment that QPR would be tired if we could keep that intensity.”
