I rang this morning and ordered a paper civic pass. I was only on the phone for less than two minutes. Good I should receive in 7 to 10 days.I asked how long it was valid for and told paper pass does not have an expiry date.

Follow the links on the NHS app , it really is simple ( must be if I can do it) ;) But it does say valid in England . But as someone said its OK for Wales too .

And the wording is changing to include Welsh Wales from next week... :ayatollah:

I’ve got the covid proof of vaccine on my phone which I needed for travelling abroad recently.
It’s simple to download and update.

When on the site click the domestic instead of the abroad icon. Takes minutes.

Hope it helps.

Is the paper one valid permanently or do you need to update it like digital one?

To update your digital QR pass, you only need to log on to the NHS website using the password you used to set up the account, and your QR code AUTOMATICALLY updates and will be valid for another 30 days. You do not need to do anything else. On an i phone it automatically updates itself in your wallet, and also deletes the one you previously had, so there's no mixing them up. I have tried this and it works even though my pass wouldn't have run out until 18th October. You do not need to wait until it runs out. As it's in your wallet you do not need to get a wifi signal at the ground. Just show the QR code if you are asked.

I confess to having difficulty at first getting an online pass via the Wales NHS app. It wouldn't accept my video even though I gave the necessary approvals. For some reason my wife didn't have a problem getting hers. So I just rang the NHS line and received a paper copy within days.

About a month or so later I went on the NHS England website, went through the same procedure as before but instead of asking for a video, my face was scanned. Bingo, it went through without a hitch and my Covid passport is now online.

The next stage was to go onto the Wales NHS website and see if my pass was available there. It was, so somewhere along the line the info on Wales NHS and England NHS must be shared.

I did similar re the NHS site and I believe it is the same, if it has the QR code attached

You should be able to sign in and update/extend whenever you need now

NHS Login QR Code no longer says England only.

Mine now says nothing and not "valid in all areas requiring a pass"

Ah yes mine is the same if I download a pdf version.

The screen version with the barcode used to say "England only" below it but it now says nothing.

Updated my pass this morning and the reference to valid in England is gone. But did have an issue with logging in om my mobile, took 3 attempts, so decided to opt for a pdf copy emailed to me and the pass is now stored on my mobile. Still concerned of the effect of 000's of people trying to logon outside the stadium and how easy that will be.

My advice is request a pdf version by email and save it to your phone or get the paper copy.

Apparently you can print off from fone and use that at city.. or screen shot it .... better than trying to download at ground as not the best internet coverage there.

Yeah I just did mine, and the same thing on the line for only a couple of minutes, gave my surname, first name confirmed I am registered with a GP in Wales, first line of address and post code. Also gave date of birth. Lady also confirmed that paper certificate has no expiry date. Very surprised how quickly and efficiently it happened. Well done NHS Wales.
