Paper talk linking him with a bid to buy Derby County.

If he made a bid for Cardiff City, with his track record at Newcastle would you take the risk or stick with Tan?

I wouldn't be in favour of it, mainly due to where Ashley's money is.

While he is worth over £2bn, most of that money is in Sports Direct shares so it's not like he can write a cheque for that amount - unless he sold those shares, which just isn't going to happen.

In fairness to him, he always said he'd only sell Newcastle to someone who would take the club forward and that's what he's done.

Newcastle fans are deluded and think they should be winning the Premier league ,Ashley backed them with money ,when they went down they went straight back up coz they were backed .they could of done a lot worse without him .

He did well for them from a financial point of view, but with no success on the pitch.

The good thing for them is that they are in a great state in terms of FFP so can spend money and their new owners won't have to clear any debt as there isn't much if any, whereas they were in huge debt before Mike Ashley bought them.

Certainly not Mike Ashley. He's had one of the biggest clubs and fanbases in the country and done nothing.
