Morrison and Flint ramping up derby importance

Sean Morrison and Aden Flint are among the players hammering home the importance of this Sunday's South Wales derbies to the uninitiated.

Flint was of course the hero for the Bluebirds in the last meeting between these two enemies, while Morrison, as captain of the club, knows more than most just how much this means to the supporters.

Ryan Giles is someone who won't have experienced that South Wales derby feel, nor will newcomers James Collins and Mark McGuinness.

But Giles, who has been arguably the most impressive player in a Cardiff shirt this season, has spoken about just how excited he is to step out for his first taste of this old rivalry this Sunday.

"I’ve had loads of conversations with Moz, Flinty, the experienced ones.

"They emphasise how important these derbies are.

"They just say to embrace it and enjoy it. It's an exciting time and to be able to play in it is brilliant."
