Underperforming

To put some perspective on how poor we have been.

I've had a look at our expected goals stats. Both for and against.

Expected goals measures the quality of a chance by calculating the likelihood that it will be scored from a particular position.

Ours are as follows.
For xG 1.35 per game. (10th overall)
Against xG 1.36 per game. (9th overall)

We are actually at.
Goals for 0.86 per game.
Goals against 1.86 per game.

In real terms we should've scored 7 more and conceded 7 less. That's a huge goal difference swing. Plus I have no doubt it's the worst in the league, I'm not calculating everyone's, but all the other teams around us are near the bottom of xG both for and against whereas we hover around 10th!!

This is football. It's not so simple! But it is obvious to us who watch every week...

Missing easy chances AND conceding soft goals pretty much sums us up.
