Preston North End boss Frankie McAvoy expects a tough test when Cardiff visit Deepdale this weekend.

He claimed that new boss Steve Morison had "galvanised" the Bluebirds players and his players will have to be ready for a stern test.

“In the main we have made Deepdale a tough place to come since that opening game of the season which is pleasing and hopefully we can make it tough for Cardiff at the weekend," McAvoy said.

“Steve Morison has gone in and stabilised the ship a bit, he seems to have managed to galvanise the players as well so it will be a tough one as they all are but one I’m looking forward to.”

In an injury update, McAvoy stated that Bluebirds loanee Josh Murphy "will be a few weeks away still with his ankle".
