Why was Lee Doughty given our game??

Postby Barclay1 » Sat Nov 20, 2021 6:29 pm

He was from Fylde , lives (lived?) in Freckleton in Lancashire just 8.miles from Preston. Basically Blackpool territory. In fact he is the younger brother of (former?) Blackpool player Phil Doughty. He taught at a school in kirkham, just 11 miles from Preston. Blackpool and Preston are massive close rivals , in fact I know a load of Preston fans who live in Blackpool.

This was a VERY POOR appt by the EFL, and I'm amazed the club didn't challenge this.

I'm not saying he is biased, but based on his performance today people will put two and two together and come up with five.

Shocking all round.

Apparently, it was all Vincent Tan's fault! ;)

Not sure how or why; but I've made it fit the bill...! :thumbright: :laughing6:
"Recreational offence". In short, if you're the kind of person who spends valuable time looking to be offended, it's offensive.

Well I did have my suspicions!

I was struggling to make it stick, but If you've managed it, then I'm happy to go along with it.

That's that sorted then, onto Hull
