A great day for the Colwills

It was quite a day for the Colwill family on Saturday.

Not only did Rubin score the first goal in the senior side's 2-1 win over Luton Town, but his younger brother, Joel, was on the scoresheet for the under-18s' 3-0 win over rivals Swansea City.

Joel, 17, was brought down in the area and emphatically slotted his resultant spot-kick to net the last goal of the game.

Another interesting fact is that Japhet Mpadi, the younger brother of Rabbi Matondo, scored the two other goals earlier on in the match. So it was a day for the younger siblings against Swansea on Saturday!

Given the manner in which Rubin has progressed in recent months, fans are now hopeful young Joel can follow in his brother's footsteps.

In other news, Cardiff's under-18s will host Watford in the FA Youth Cup third round at Cardiff City Stadium on Wednesday, December 8 at 7pm.
