STEVE MORISON ON RYAN WINTLE RECALL SITUATION

No imminent Wintle recall

Cardiff City boss Steve Morison has refused to rule out the possibility of recalling Ryan Wintle, but has dismissed talk of an imminent move on the eve of the January window.

Wintle has been in fine form out on loan for Championship rivals Blackpool, sparking calls from some fans to bring him back to South Wales this January.

The transfer window opens in just a few hours, but Morison has played down the possibility of an imminent recall.

"I can't call Ryan back yet, so I don't have to worry about that," he said when asked after the defeat to Bournemouth.

"You will find out when everyone else finds out.

"Now is not the right time or place for me to say anything like that on Ryan as I can't call him back within the next week or two
."

Morison has already recalled striker Max Watters, who returns after a promising spell at MK Dons, where he netted seven goals in 14 games in all competitions.

Why exactly can he not call him back for a couple of weeks?

It seems the agreed 'recall' date is late January; but it might work in our favour, as he can regain a little fitness after suffering Omicron :thumbright:

Thanks for that.

Seems a bit strange but hopefully if Wolves can recall Giles it will also not be before the end of the month

He started in their win today, so he is on his road to recovery.

As he played today then he’s recovered. It would be insane not to recall him as soon as possible.

Heres hoping he'll offer something different to what we've already got.

Indeed, Paul. Hopefully we'll get him back at the peak of his game; unlike Murphy and Whyte :ayatollah:
