Leeds full-back on radar

Cardiff City are eyeing a move for Leeds United full-back Cody Drameh, but are waiting to receive the green light from the Elland Road club.

It's understood that while Cardiff are keen admirers of the 20-year-old, there isn't yet any guarantee that he will be allowed to make the move to south Wales, with injury concerns continuing to mount for Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa.

Junior Firpo came off during Sunday's FA Cup tie with West Ham complaining of dizziness, and could be added to an increasingly large injury list.

Liam Cooper, Diego Llorente, Pascal Struijk, Charlie Cresswell and Jamie Shackleton are the other defensive options likely to be unavailable for next weekend’s Premier League match, which coincidentally is also against the Hammers, and Bielsa may well decide that Drameh is needed to provide extra cover.

Drameh made his Premier League debut for Leeds at the end of October, and has been named on the bench several times since, with Bielsa clearly viewing the youngster as a strong prospect for the future.
