:bluescarf: For those who doubted me on Twitter and here:

It takes time especially as Cardiff are only prepared to pay the minimum wage and in the end he needs match fitness

A virtual deal was done on Tuesday, it was the money.

For a youngster Doyle is on a big wage £7,500 a week approx.

City are paying 30% of it.

Cardiff City have confirmed the signing of Tommy Doyle on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season.

Tommy Doyle aged 20, made one appearance for Man City.

Match Fitness:

Tommy Doyle never started a single game for the Bundesliga 2 club.

The central midfielder spent the first half of the season out on loan at Bundesliga 2 club Hamburger SV, where a certain Robert Glatzel now plies his trade, but was brought back to Manchester owing to a lack of game-time for the German club.

Match fitness could be another problem for Doyle?

He didn't start a single league game and made only six substitute appearance, totalling just 73 minutes of action, and is now in desperate need of playing time elsewhere.

So City fans give him time at least 4 games

Tommy will be No:22

Steve Morison: “He’s someone we earmarked and somebody we believe can really help us, so we’re really pleased to get it over the line.

“I’ve had really good reports. He has captained at every youth level with England and did the same with Manchester City. He comes from a family of football legends as well. We’ve been entrusted by Man City to take one of their players and get him some experience. It works well for both parties.

“He’s an excellent player and one I think the fans will really enjoy watching.”

Didn’t you say it wouldn’t happen mate? What has changed? Are they finally realising the severity of the situation we are in?

My family are all Manchester City fans. We have seen Tommy Doyle a few times for the Youth team.
It's difficult in youth games to really see how good a player is, as the teams regularly change.
He is excellent at dead ball delivery, so can hopefully get goals from free kicks.
He had very few minutes playing at Hamburg, so doubt if he is "match fit".
Really hope he does the business, but my biggest doubt will be his mobility and physical toughness.
The Championship is a world apart from Academy games.
Also Manchester City youth teams mirror the first teams way of playing. He will be used to a "passing game", so it could be a culture shock for Tommy.
Hopefully, he will grasp the opportunity and both the City and MCFC benefit...
