‘ Cardiff face stiff competition to sign midfielder’

Postby Forever Blue » Mon Apr 25, 2022 5:43 pm

Cardiff are interested in Ebou Adams from League 2 club Forest Green Rovers.

Ebou Adams aged 26 has played for Dartford, Ebbsfleet United, Walton Casuals , Braintree Town, was at Norwich for 2yrs from 2016-18 but made 0 appearances.

Adams is available on a free, but Cardiff face stiff competition from Blackpool.

Cardiff City face stiff competition if they are to sign Ebou Adams, a player understood to be on their transfer radar.

A number of clubs are keen on the midfielder, 26, who has been one of Forest Green Rovers' top performers over the last few years.

Unfortunately for Cardiff, that hasn't gone unnoticed by their rivals, who also believe the player to be good value on a free transfer.

And it is understood Blackpool are one of several clubs battling Cardiff for the player's signature. The Seasiders, of course, had Ryan Wintle on loan at the start of the campaign and are looking to bolster their midfield next term.

Whether Cardiff can fight the Tangerines, and others, off remains to be seen.

No evidence to suggest he is good enough for the Championship

Not being funny fella but you haven’t had a good word to say about any of our transfer targets, they have to start somewhere, look at Perry NG

Saw him play for FGR v Salford earlier this season. Him and Kane Wilson the rb were their stand out players. Adams played a box to box role and looked horrible to play against.

Wilson travelled with the ball really well and would really like him here if we can’t get Drameh back.

Dont we have some sort of affiliation with FGR ? - we always used to play them in pre season, Im sure we have loaned them quite a few players om the past etc.

So this kid would be worth looking at - and if all looks good Im sire FGR would have a word in his ear etc

No evidence to suggest he's not good enough either  :banghead:

There was no evidence to suggest that Wintle was good enough for the Championship either, anyone think that he's not up to it now ?

Where was the evidence to suggest that Drameh would be able to cope with the physical side of the Championship ?

Championship clubs have to make judgement calls and hope they come off. If 50% of those gambles come off they would be pretty happy.

If I haven't seen a prospective signing play then I'm more than willing to back the recruitment until I've seen them play a few games not immediately take a guess that they're not good enough just because they're coming from a lower level club.
