Sang committed to St Johnstone survival bid

Tom Sang who is 23 yrs old next month, will return to Cardiff at the end of this month.

Tom Sang says he is determined to ensure St Johnstone are still a Scottish Premiership club when he heads back to south Wales this summer.

Sang failed to become a regular at Cardiff City and had previously been on loan at Cheltenham, returned for a while before going out again on loan to Scotland.

Saints remain in danger following a disappointing defeat to St Mirren at the weekend, but Sang says there is still plenty of confidence that they can avoid the drop come the end of the season.

“On a personal note, I want to leave this club with it still in the Premiership,” said Sang. “I want a really good end to things. I’m part of the team. It’s not a case of me just coming here to develop my career on loan.

“I want to help us do it for the lads and the staff. There’s definitely the quality in our changing room to make sure we do.”
