Would you take on loan...?

Give up on the £1M Kieffer Moore bonus and trade it with Bournemouth by having David Brooks on loan.

The £1M given up could pay for the loan fee with the remainder being used by the Cherries to pay, for example, 80% of his wages, with us finding 20%

Gets him playing again, gets him fit etc.

David Brooks would be a great addition for next season, if it suited Bournemouth :ayatollah:

Isn't Brooks out of contract?

Doubt he' d want to play back in the championship after been promoted.

I would love nothing more than to have Brooks join us but why would you leave a club that will be in the top flight. You would guess Scott Parker would have plans for him next season so who knows.

This wasnt a simple 'wouldn't it be great' statement.

Brooks will not be 1st team at Bournemouth for some time having been out of the game for a long time with such a horrible illness.

He will need time to re-adjust, to gain form and fitness, something the Premier league doesnt often allow you time to do.

A season loan to the Championship might actually suit everybody.

Being completely emotionless about this, I would not take him on loan unless the terms were very favourable.

This poor guy has just got over a life threatening disease and nobody knows what impact that has had on his body on what the prognosis will be.

He might, hopefully, be absolutely fine and quickly get back to where he was prior to his illness alternatively he might never get back to that level.

Add that to the fact that his injury record wasn't great even before his illness, that makes this a massive risk in the summer. Maybe something that would be more attractive in January with 6/7 months training, building up behind him.

I know this sounds a bit harsh but we've signed plenty of Vassells, etc., in the past and we're just not in the financial position to speculate on someone who, at best, would be risky.

The poor lad has just overcome cancer. It'll be a while before he even thinks about setting foot on a training ground
