Huddersfield Town are not in the running to sign Cardiff-lin

Huddersfield Town are not in the running to sign Cardiff-linked Rangers starlet Kyle McClelland.

Reports in Scotland had previously suggested that the Terriers, along with City and Sheffield United, were in the running to sign the 20-year-old centre-back, whose contract at Ibrox is set to expire this summer.

However, our colleagues at Yorkshire Live claim that Huddersfield are not currently pursuing his signature.

The strength of Cardiff's interest isn't yet clear, with sources claiming that a move to Scottish rivals Hibernian could also be an option.

Should he leave Glasgow, Rangers would be due a development fee, although reports have already suggested that the club will look to secure a sell-on clause as part of the terms of his departure.
