Former Cardiff City star Rabbi Matondo

Former Cardiff City star Rabbi Matondo could be poised for a move back to English football.

Bournemouth and Fulham are keeping tabs on the forward, who's been in red-hot form on loan at Belgian side Cercle Brugge, netting 10 goals and racking two assists in 27 games to help the club to their highest league finish in recent memory.

Matondo is also one of five players to have just been nominated for the prestigious Ebbenhouten Schoen award. Cercle, and city rivals Club Brugge are both keen on a permanent deal, as are fellow Belgian side Anderlecht.

However, the Welshman, who recently won a recall to Rob Page's Wales squad, still has one year left on his current deal at Schalke, and their return to the Bundesliga may yet complicate any decision on his future.
