Leeds United are targeting the signing of another right-back

Leeds United are targeting the signing of another right-back despite Cody Drameh's return from his loan at Cardiff City, The Athletic report.

Drameh won the Bluebirds' Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards despite playing only half a season in south Wales, however he was certainly deserving of the accolades.

He said that being assured of game-time at Leeds next season is really important., saying" if I'm not promised game-time then I don't really want to be waiting around". He also did not rule out a return to Cardiff next season.

And now, The Athletic claim that Jesse Marsch wants to bring in another right-back owing to injuries pertaining to Luke Ayling and Stuart Dallas. They state that Leeds are monitoring RB Salzburg defender Rasmus Kristensen, a 24-year-old Denmark international.

Marsch worked with Kristensen for two years at RB Salzburg, from whom they signed midfielder Brenden Aaronson last week.

Quite where that would leave Drameh is up in the air, especially when Ayling and, a little further down the line, Dallas return from injury. The report adds that Leeds are keen on Aberdeen’s 18-year-old prospect Calvin Ramsay, but he is wanted by Liverpool and may favour a move to Anfield.

Either way, it might just force the 20-year-old Drameh, who has two years left on his deal at the Yorkshire club, out the door once again.
