FIFA are totally wrong

We all know that the decision to hold the World cup was based purely on money. Over the course of the last few days I have been looking into the whole world Cup thing as I am looking to go for the duration. There are there are three of us looking at putting something together and fortunately the one guy has a son who lives and works in Qatar, and we have our accommodation sorted at his place however looking into the tickets position reveals an absolute nonsense.

As a resident in Qatar he has had the opportunity of buying a number of tickets for a variety of matches, and wait for it, at £10 per ticket unfortunately none of those tickets are transferable to none-Qatar citizens. The price of all group match tickets to competing countries is set at £126 per match and last 16 matches set at £141 (this represents a 46% increase from France 2016 prices), they will not permit anyone into the country without a ticket for a match.

Unfortunately there is no accountability to FIFA and indeed Qatar government (the ruler can make any decision he wishes) so the competing nations and more importantly the football fan is on the bottom of the pile

Many host countries have given locals a period of time to buy reduced price tickets in limited numbers so nothing new there However ticket prices are crazy overall Especially when you take into account the TV rights and revenue from that and sponsors
If FIFA were not so money grabbing , tickets could easily be £40 stating prices and still make an enormous profit

Fans are subsidising locals by look of it? Because charging fans £100+ for fans is ott but got to beare in mind their stadiums are smaller than most world cups only the main stadium holds 80k think all rest are 40k including wales games so not much room
to make profit compared to rest world stadiums.

Interested to know if England get the same ticket allocations numbers wise? Or do they get more as they are a higher seed?

FIFA is a joke and has been for decades.A few lucky people have made an absolute fortune out of this corrupt organisation mainly at the expense of the ordinary football fan
