My fear with these season ticket sales

Sun Jan 03, 2010 11:46 pm

I have bought my season ticket for next year as many others have, whether the money goes for new players or survival, I'd be happy with the first but could also reluctantly accept the second if it means the survival of our club. My fear is though, What happens next year though, when the tax man comes knocking again, and all of next years income has already been used up to pay the previous years debt.

As a businessman myself I know that having funds ready to pay the tax man is a priority. No one likes paying it, but it has to be done and your gonna be in serious trouble if you don't. PR has already got previous in not being able to pay the tax man with his own personal company, is it the case that he's done a similar thing with our club?

PR is hoping and relying on NEW INVESTORS to be here, if they dont come in were completely fucked.

Agreed, We only have 2 remaining strategies,

1. investment from a very wealth person / group
2. Reach the Premiership this year

In an ideal world I'd hope for both, but if these 2 don't happen, we're F**ked. I keep my fingers crossed for the Malysians, but how keen would you be as a potential investor if you knew that there's no ticket income next year as its already been spent in advance? I'm sure there's small elements of truth in all that PR states, but it just doesn't add up at a common sense level.

Without investment I think we would still survive, it would be hard to it could be done. Firstly have increased revenues since moving to the new stadium, its hard to put a figure on it but at a guess its between £3-5m.

We would sell at least one or a combination of either Whittingham, Chopra, Bothroyd, McCormack or Burke.

Finally we could bring 2011-12 revenues forward like we have this season.

I'm not saying the above is ideal but we would survive in one form or other.

Yes your right Tony, if we keep selling then we would survive the season, but the fans would stop in there thousands.

That's true. We have 16000 season ticket holders now but of course that would plumet if we started to sell players just to survive. That said I believe we have a hardcore sopport of around 10000 who would buy.
