If we lose Saturday

Postby Pantmawr Bluebird » Tue Jul 05, 2022 12:19 pm

Lets not panic and write the season off.

Pre season games are to get fit, to get minutes in the tank and to gel a bit more as a team. We'll probably rotate in each half.

Just the other day;

Crystal Palace drew with Accrington
Gosport Borough beat Portsmouth
Tiverton beat Exeter

I've already lined my toys up at the side of the pram and if we lose on Saturday they're going straight out.

Its the same for both teams new players normally i would say a championship club should be able to put away lower league
But most of our team ate lower league.

Win them all just, warm up games / lose them and to me still just warm up games, by the final friendly I then start to usually take them a bit more seriously.

Depends how we lose. If we get beat comfortably then it’s worrying. If we lose but offer a glimpse of quality then no big deal. That’s my view.

Spot on :thumbright:

The team will change massively from half to half never mind from game to game in the pre-season.

All I hope to see is a couple of formations/styles where we can see what Morison wants from the squad this season.

Agreed they are just fitness training sessions, we need the strikers though!
