Tomlin's shocking start

Former Cardiff reject Lee Tomlin had an awful debut for new club Doncaster as he was sent off for two embarrassing yellow cards in the space just 17 seconds.

It was a sequence of events that saw Tomlin branded "stupid".

Tomlin was initially booked for refusing to get out of the way of a Bradford City free-kick. Then, he did the same again, cheekily kicking the ball away as Bradford attempted to take another set-piece, then repeated that once again, so
Immature for a 33 year old player.

There followed a comical moment as Tomlin proceeded to theatrically throw himself to the ground when confronted by an opponent. He was swiftly issued with another yellow card as he lay on the turf, throwing his arms in the air as his own team-mates put their heads in their hands.

One fan wrote on social media: "The most stupid red card you’ll see, courtesy of Lee Tomlin."

Tomlin, 33, was making his debut after leaving Walsall at the end of last season. He left the Bluebirds by mutual consent in October last year.
