Ince Red Card - bullocks :

It was never a red card for Nelson ……..as Ince (the manager) asserts. At the point of contact for the correctly awarded penalty

(1) their goalkeeper was not the last man ….there was another who had recovered and was closer to goal .

(2) also correctly - albeit to a lesser degree- Ince (junior) was not in a goal scoring position and was forcibly running away from goal . Ince (manager) is a very well known whinger . Yes , we lost fair and square on the day ….. but it was not a red card .

Clear push on Kipre, Chris. Could see it even more clearly on the football league show

Yes blatant penalty by Nelson, awful as no need.

Had commentary from reading tv and was ott in the extreme as was still whinging about it upto final whistle.... but as people say was not in scoring position unless he's a contortionist......
If anything you can easily say wouldn't have scored even without Nelson's intervention.

100% not a red card as to penalty without a doubt.

Annis, big difference at the back without NG, I am sorry but Nelson is not up to it. It was not just the penalty but he has no idea how to play out from the back.
I have been told that SM is going to bring in another centre half.
It does seem that SM only rates the two centre halves who started against Norwich. :ayatollah:

Rog, the only worry I have with NG is a lack of aerial dominance but I’d still start him over Nelson and McGuiness. It’s a shame that Denham isn’t thought of as ready yet as I think he should be next in line rather than CM or MM. Glad another one is being pursued though.

Oh definitely a pen but whole situation was poorly defended even aslop just rushed out and did nothing ... Nelson well just panicked unnecessarily but hopefully situation being addressed regarding defenders.
