This is a huge gamble (Forest's summer transfer spree) Fulham usually do the same thing, win promotion, buy a whole new 11, it doesn't work, get relegated, end up selling most of them and rebuilding. Forest should of just added one or two quality players to the squad.

can't remember which manager said it, but the quote was, "never spend to stay up, spend to get promoted again if you get relegated" and its right. it keeps the wage structure down, and you slowly add quality for a sustained push in the league.

I think Forest under Steve Cooper have the nouse to build on their promotion and stay in the Premier League. Their Board are ambitious and have backed their manager in the transfer market; and why wouldn't they after his heroics of last season?

Just remind me, which team let him go because he felt their ambition didn't match his own...? ;) :laughing6: :laughing6:
