I really enjoyed, very entertaining.


City dominated the first-half and deserved their first half-lead , but Posh took control in the 2nd half and Posh played the last 25mins with 10men, will feel unlucky not to have drawn this game.


Cardiff fielded a very strong U21 team v Posh’s U21 team

Luthra made some very good saves for Cardiff.

That’s the way it should be. Just look at Ajax as an example. They bring them through the academy playing the same way. Every season clubs take their players for massive fees and they are instantly replaced by an academy player that can slot in instantly. That’s what we should be aiming for. Southampton and Swansea were doing the same, then Swansea stopped investing into their academy and they don’t bring so many through these days. That’s why it’s so important for Cardiff to go for Cat 1 academy.

The visitors have been knocking the door this second half. They eventually find some luck after 84 minutes, they score from Kanu’s driving run that finds Overton who gets a bit of fortune but then cooly strikes the ball into he roof of the net.

I agree, that's the way it should be. The kids in recent years haven't stood a chance. I remember watching morisons u23s playing lovely quick passing football and then watching Mick set us up with 9 defensive players to play hoofball. Absolutely no chance for players coming through.

Enjoyed that. I think we run ourselves into the ground a bit. Intensity dropped massively midway through the second half.

Dominated the game and should have scored at least 4 or 5. A few greedy shots should have been squared for tap-ins to kill the game but overall a very impressive performance.

Tanner is undeniably talented. Needs to work on his decision making in the final third and composure on the ball. But looks very promising.

I thought it was a really encouraging team performance. I really like the look of the skipper, Benjamin. Very vocal ball playing centre half. Conte looks promising too from what I saw.
City Slicker, it’s interesting how we all have a different take on things, I thought Tanner was a little out of his depth in terms of quality. Needs time though having come from so many levels below. Semenyo has lovely feet too. All really promising overall. Really enjoyed.
