So, three changes, then. Joe Ralls comes in for Romaine Sawyers, Jack Simpson comes in for his Bluebirds debut, with Cedric Kipre unable to play, and Sheyi Ojo is in for Callum O'Dowda.

Sawyers has started every game so far and many City fans will concede that Ralls is not a bad replacement, even if he doesn't have as much attacking intent. But it'll be a battle here tonight, so maybe Ralls' energy is needed.

Simpson wins the centre-back race. Oliver Denham the man on the bench, with no sign of Mark McGuinness nor Curtis Nelson in the squad. Gives you perhaps a little insight into the pecking order at the minute.

And while O'Dowda has done brilliantly, perhaps there is a bigger clash ahead for him on Sunday. Plus, Ojo has looked decent enough so far.

Max Watters is given the full backing of Steve Morison once again, with Kion Etete and Mark Harris the options from the bench.

Dare I say a tad more defensive in midfield with half an eye on Sunday with two first team era with fresh legs. Also if we go behind this evening, we have more attacking options.

Can only assume o’dowda and sawyers are being protected as it clearly isn’t for their performances. Feels a bit like Morison views the game Saturday as a better chance of points.

Unfortunately Ralls can not dictate a game and not fit to tie sawyers shoe laces so with him in midfield and Watters up front I don’t see us getting many chances tonight.
