But he’s a midfielder and 20 years old and City have beaten of a number of clubs.
On his day he will probably be potentially our most talented and gifted player.
He currently has a club, top flight.
Has scored a few great goals.
And none of the bullshit that the media made out that Ollie Tanner was amazing , nothing against him but the hype was beyond stupidity by our local media and Morison.

I hope you’re right with this. It means we’re getting our business done nice and early.
After the PW7 game tonight I would say we have a number of very promising midfield youngsters ourselves coming through.
Watch out for Joel Colwill, he played like an experienced pro tonight against Prem opposition. I know it was only a friendly but some of his passing and movement was very natural.

I highly rate Joel Collwill. Joe in my view could even be better than Rubin.
I don’t rate Etete or Tanner as Championship players, last night was a very good friendly with Villa being very respectful.
I have watched Tanner about 6 times, he has pace, flair but missing the final bit that would make him a good player.

I agree on Tanner but I think Etete has got something.

Tanners publicity was beyond so the expectations were very high.
If I am really honest o have not seen enough of Etete.

Don’t get me wrong, Etete isn’t the finished article but he’s young, quick and makes intelligent runs.
He also seemed to improve throughout the game and he was up against an England international centre back in the first half.
If young players have potential we need to give them a chance and Etete and Robinson might be worth a go as a pairing in my opinion.

I totally agree we need to give these players a chance, but the last few years the managers keep saying it then we hardly ever see these players play??

As for Tanner, how likely is it going to be for a kid from well below the national league to jump into the championship within 6 months? He is three years older than the scholars and that means he hasn't had the fitness regime of someone like Mark Harris since he was 16. On the plus side, we haven't coached the natural flair out of him. I doubt we will see him in the championship until we are safe later in the season, if at all this season.
