Would you keep Kipre?

Sun Apr 02, 2023 7:42 pm

I think he started excellent for us under Morisson, but he's been a bit shakey since. I was hoping he'd excel with McGuiness returning and in form, but if anything (my opinion) he hasn't.

26 years old. £1.5mill valuation. I think I'd rather raid the lower leagues at that price (found online).

Sorting the defence out is key this summer.

I think he's been one of our best players this season and £1.5 million is a good price. I'd love to see him back next season but we are currently under a transfer embargo.

MM has been ok but was led a merry dance by Piroe on Saturday. In an ideal world I’d like us to get an experienced centre back in during the summer. (Along with a left back, ‘hard b@stard’ midfielder and a nippy striker - more needed if as expected, we lose many of the loanees we currently have).

I’d let McGuinness go for £1m ish

Clearly a league one standard defender like most of the squad, but at least has the reputation of a good half season down there to have transfer value

Not even a question. WBA new manager likes him and wants to keep him.

I can't see him being up for a year in League One next season.

On balance, I'd say no. Too many errors at vital moments in defence this season, despite looking a good footballer.

Yes, 100% would and that fee isn't too bad...

Sadly, I understand he is now 'rated' at WBA and is expected back into the fold for next season...

100% our player of the year hardly missed a game all season. Many players on loan get questioned about there commitment he’s been solid and apart from a couple of rare mistakes. But as mentioned the WBA manager rates him highly so unlikely to be coming back.

I’m sure that when he came here on loan wba stated that the terms of the loan were that he’d be here for the season and that we’d have first option of buying him come the end of the season.

Andrew, that was the case but they have a new manager now and he rates him... :ayatollah:

We haven’t got £1.5 million and we are under a transfer embargo so no Kipre won’t be here next year

Also, I’m pretty sure he would be looking to move to a better club than us!!!
