Huddersfield Town boss Neil Warnock insists it will still take a 'miracle' to keep the Terriers in the Championship this season.
A surprise 4-2 win over Middlesbrough has put Warnock's men level on points with former club Cardiff City, with only goal difference keeping the Bluebirds out of the bottom three.
Cardiff do have the luxury of a game in hand, following the controversial abandonment at Rotherham United, but with the two sides set to meet at Cardiff City Stadium on April 29, there's still plenty to play for.
Given his fine record in saving sides from the drop, a few in the Welsh capital might well be growing anxious at the prospect of their former boss sucking them into a relegation dogfight, but Warnock is clearly in no mood to start getting carried away, despite such a brilliant win at the weekend.
Speaking post-match, Warnock said: “Oh my god, the biggest miracle ever (what survival would mean). That’s why I’m saying, don’t jump into saying it (Huddersfield will stay up) now we’ve won two in a row.
“We’ll probably lose our next two and be back to square one! When you look at the fixtures, nobody has had a tougher run of fixtures than us - and we’ve got more to come. Watford away, Blackburn Rovers, they don’t come much tougher than that.
“We’ve had a few as well. Burnley, Coventry… we lost 4-0 at Coventry and I was disappointed we didn’t win! We’ll only stay up on our own results - nobody else’s.”
