Happy birthday to the man who is the only player in history to score a hat-trick in the Premier League, Championship, League One, League Two, FA Cup, League Cup and for his country.

Legend is often over used in football but Earnie definitely deserves it for City. He was a talisman and one of the major reasons why City rose from the ashes of the fourth division (now division 2) to where we are now. His relentless goals, gymnastic somersaults were a joy and brought back the good times of higher league football. Undoubtedly one of the best players ever to play in a City shirt. This is why we can't afford to waste his legacy by going back down the leagues in the next few weeks. I've been there and I don't want to go back. Happy Birthday Earnie.

One of the best to do it in a city shirt. Played with a massive smile on his face and made football enjoyable to watch. It was like everyone was watching their cheeky little brother notch 25+ goals every season. Legend. Happy birthday Earnie :bluebird:
