Songs are offensive but thats football banter isnt it.
We all threw songs at each other on sunday most where offensive. We had a friend who is unfortunate to be a jack sending text messages during the game .
It just football rivalry.
Next day after the game we all mates again well sort of .
Thats what football is

The PC (excuse the non-deliberate pun) group are cleansing football in the way they are cleansing society...
Modernly, you cannot cause offence even if the person it's aimed at is 'okay' with it but someone totally unattached sees/hears it and decides it may (not necessarily will) cause offence to others...
The world is going mad and you'll soon see a game where no goals are score 'just in case' it offends the opposition...![]()

The police officer called him over after the game and told him he’d seen him chanting ! Took his photo and said he’d get a ban .
My boy said what about the other 100 chanting ? Did anybody else get a ban ? He is 16 and has travelled all over the country this season following the beloved bluebirds . He’s gone to Blackpool this morning absolutely gutted as it could be his last away for a while.
That’s my rant over . Thanks ps we all know who the police officer was .

Sounds like its a time for us fans to come together, fund this case, get our win and use it for further cases. If we win that will make the police think.

It’s only a club ban so therefore a Civil matter?
It’s like sneaking into a nightclub or pub your banned from - it’s security’s job to stop you not a legally enforcing one.
Police don’t have the evidence or resources for proper bans so they just write to the club who take anything as gospel
Pretty sure that a 16 year old doesn’t need to be giving police there details either
Seems like a common pattern with SWP recently

I think that's spot on in terms of youngsters not having to give police their details. I guess they may have to if they getting a caution etc but in the OP's case, it seems that the cop just got the club to issue a ban, so not criminal offence, hence no apparent legal reason to give your details. This stuff bothers me as it's all a result of lazy policing and stewarding and could actually end up with a youngster or parent getting a criminal record in the heat of the moment, certain types of cops and stewards know this and use it as a prompt for an easy collar.
Many of us have seen how the youngsters are increasingly being targeted in 117, with a few being manhandled out which I think may escalate at some point as certain stewards should not be laying hands on them as not necessary.

You are correct on the treatment of the youngsters in 117/118 by a certain element amongst our usually great Stewards and we've both witnessed it, although we can't comment on the specific case above...
A quick check shows that legally there is no age restriction on whether the police can ask someone to stop and account for themselves
If the police suspect you of committing an offence they must inform you of the general nature of the offence believed to have been committed.
If asked to do so, you must give your name, address, date and place of birth and nationality to the officer.
You may also be asked for an explanation of your behaviour. If you give false information or refuse to answer, you are committing an offence for which you could be arrested and charged.
If you have been asked to stay with the police while they check the information you have provided you must do so. If you don't, this is an offence for which you could be charged.
The police can use reasonable force to keep you there for questioning. If you feel that unreasonable or excessive force was used, you can make a complaint.
If they do want to ask you more questions they can ask you to attend voluntarily at the police station to help with enquiries, or
arrest you and hold you in custody for up to 24 hours.
