I reckon that 1 in each of the last three games. Save, no defender reacts. Allows a tap in.

Any 4 of the Sunderland players it could have fell to after that save tbh. Embarassing reactions really ball Watching kids football standard that is.

It was Simpson's fault, he switched off and ball watched failing to follow their player in to stop him scoring.
Unfortunately, we have continually conceded soft goals since Warnock left us. Not many other teams gift away goals like we do and with our problems scoring at the other end, we are in big trouble.
We have to hope we beat Rotherham and Huddersfield, as the only other remaining game I see us having any realistic chance of getting a point is home to Stoke.

Exactly. Embarrassing.

Silly free kick to give away for a start, wall didn’t do its job as it splits allowing the ball to go straight through and hit the post. Allsop expected the wall to do its job and it didn’t causing a late and rubbish reaction that spilled into the path of a Sunderland player to tap home with no city defender in sight as they’re all sleeping.
Silly goal to give away with plenty of errors.
Thought we would of learnt out lesson from set pieces after the Jacks game.

When people say “schoolboy defending” it’s usually tongue in cheek. That however is schoolboy. Would have been annoyed seeing that from the kids at half time.

Second balls. We can't deal with them.
Teams know this. Both of Sunderland and the jacks have been ready to pounce in these situations.
That's two points lost from them for a start, if I go back over the season it would be a lot more.

If the wall had done its job it wouldn’t have come to that. From where I was sitting, I think McGuinness moved inwards as the balm was kicked towards him from the free kick. If he’d stood his ground, it would have been blocked. If I’m mistaken and he did t move, then it’s Allsop’s fault for not placing his wall properly. Either way, I think it was one of these as they seem to be remonstrating with each other after the goal went in

If the wall had just stood still it would've hit them in the gollocks and been cleared.
When I was a kid I was taught, you stand still in the wall, cover the important bits with your hands and drop your chin down.... Don't effing move!!!!
Another thing that bugs me are throw ins, why can't professional footballers throw the ball to feet and not bounce it in to people, again taught that at about age ten.
Zip passes in to your teammates, speed up the game. So frustrating.

Exactly.
Pretty sure it was McGuiness.

It's been going on all season, standing there watching the ball go in while they all stick their arms in the air waving for an offside like they're waving to their mother.

This where the game fell apart and Allsop was rightly furious with his defence after the goal...
His initial save was actually a decent one and the ball could have gone anywhere once it hit the post. I actually thought it was going to cross the line, so was a relief to see it a yard out until I realised
none of our defenders followed in whilst the Sunderland player(s) did
For me, it was not a free-kick and became the biggest moment of the game, as Sunderland didn't really threaten our goal otherwise for all their huff and puff and I would have happily settled for a draw and a '
sneaky' win was possible
Disappointed to say the least...

Anyone with an ounce of football knowledge knows that if the wall breaks there’s nothing the keeper can do.
I don’t rate Allsop as a shot stopper but that goal today was not his fault.
