I wasn't going to post something because I thought someone else would.
But that was the most abject performance in a City shirt I've seen since the days of Stephen Bywater and the sadly departed J Lloyd Samuel.
Awful.

Indeed it was but in fairness he was shafted when they moved Romeo over to the right side leaving him 3 on 1 with next to no support

Whereas I do agree that he was very poor, he wasn’t helped when placed at LWB and Sunderland instantly doubled up on him with Sawyers as the only cover in front of him.

I don't like starting threads on players, but Sheyi is just not very good.
Take Liverpool off his CV and he wouldn't get a contract at L2 on performances. i have noidea why Sabri keeps picking him as he always gets hooked.
Not the lads fault, but playing football in front of 20K people type of exposes all your fears,he isn't quick enough physically or mentally for the championship and i believe he knows it.

Fair point but Ojo didn't help himself at all. He made one decent tackle but that's it.
He did well on his loan a couple of years at ago but this season he's offered zero.

I feel bad for singling someone out and don't normally do it.
But you're 100% right in what you say.
Low confidence, low ability.

Yes I take your point too.

He is a lad without a position at 26. Not quick enough for the flanks and doesn't score, create or assist at 10 and doesn't seem to have the engine to press. I'd play Harris there every time as he gets about and causes chaos and none of us believe he is championship level.

To be fair to Limouchi he didn't pull any punches about taking off both Philogene and Ojo. 'The mentality was wrong.' Dam right. There was nothing in that Sunderland team better than ours on paper. He also looked angry about Colwill too. Injured again with his hip. Reading between the lines I think he is sick of a set of soft lads who wont put their body on the line and die for the shirt. He praised Joe Ralls for doing just that for 30 minutes when clearly he wasn't too fit Ojo has been an appalling signing.

I hope we see Rhinomota in the team as a regular now, he deserves to be.

Spot on with Rhinomota

We need his and Wintles mobility

I agree Ned, totally overrated

I never know why we signed him after a very underwhelming loan spell last time. One good game in every seven…if you’re lucky
Mon Apr 10, 2023 6:56 pm
Always easy in retrospect but selecting Sheyi Ojo to start today was a mistake; just as leaving out Joe Ralls was...
Sadly, Ojo doesn't appear to be 'up for the fight' for 90 minutes and for all his his running, in the main he has no end product

I’ve said it time and time again, most of this squad couldn’t give a rats arse about this club and how they perform, at the end of the day it’s just a job for them, except there are no consequences for doing your job poorly, they still get their inflated pay packet and go about their lives, it means nothing to them, if they leave Cardiff, another team is just round the corner, it’s very sad how far this club is starting to fall, who knows what will happen. I believe they will get relegated and at the end of the day, it’s what they all deserve.

Marlon Romeo was just as bad, lazy, slow and always looking for a sideways pass. Much better with NG on the flank. Ojo and Romeo were the worst pairing I've seen out wide for as long as I can remember

I agree with OP yet he gets picked again and again. Must be AMAZING in training. Finally, it's time he was permenantly dropped.

I remember posting about him when we had him on loan. I actually can't believe he's a professional footballer. Possibly the worst footballer we've signed since Cameron Toshack.

Why can' t the manger relay what the fans think of ojo and give him an ultimatum get your finger out your a.se and roll your sleeves up or f.ck .ff we need people who are going to do more than half hearted and just about breaking into s trot

The only people rolling up there sleeves are the fans with our support our strikers can’t even hold the ball up tidy philogene on his day as good as anybody but there are times when you got to dig in and make it happen

CARDIFF 74
Never been so frustrated with a team
a bit of fight at blackpool and at rotherham but sunderland you could just scream i know we don' t do a lot of booing at cardiff but a lot of fans of others do
and in the prem how else do you get it across to some players how unhappy you are and its just not good enough
I could have quite easily starting singing sat f.ck.ng usless at ojo and sawyers.
Just hope the team in the dressing room understand how p.ss.d we are not just the manager.

League 1 squad at best and mainly SM signings, would he have got any better out of them, I doubt it, who scouted these players or was it what's on paper that is available, oh he will do lets get him. Alsopp is probably the worst goal keeper I have seen at the City for a while, I read somewhere that is we go down it will be his third relegation on the trot....not a good statistic to have really.
I don't believe Sunderland was any better than us. They just seemed to have one or two players who they sparked off, if everyone had hit the target is could have been a 6-6 draw. We cant keep relying on everyone else's results though I cannot see where another 3 points are coming from.

I would NEVER Boo my team or a player no matter how bad they are

Ojo has had a poor season, but why the hell is he still getting game time. Whatever the issue is, I'm not seeing anyone with less impact to the games.
90 games for us now, not much of a highlight reel, is there?

Suppose it just shows the faith that the manager has in Isaac Davies, Harris and Colwill.

Add in Gavin Whyte who not only starts most Northern Ireland games, but he gets goals and assists!
I really can't see Ojo being top 11 in this current squad.

i really feel for Romeo, he's naturally a right back, and is being asked to play wing back in a back 5, which means usually on the right hand side he's our only width, so there is rarely a forward pass, when we did play with wingers, they often played so narrow there was never an option wide to play. i love NG, but they play him on the right hand side of a back 5, and the opposition when lumping it long aim for that side, as they can out jump 2 natural full backs.
as for Ojo, i don't know what has happened but that first loan spell he seemed to have a bit of pace about him, he seems to have lost that, he's not a number 10 as he doesn't have the positioning, vision, or ability to feed balls through, i think he was signed to add bodies to the squad rather than be a regular, as i think Davies would offer so much more as a winger with his pace and fearlessness, he just runs at the defence, gets in behind.
