Ollie Tanner will be 21 years old when he returns to the Bluebirds:
Just made 6 appearances ( mainly as a sub) since the 1st January for struggling Non League York City who lost 3nil at home to Halifax Town on Saturday and Tanner was still not selected for their match day squad and he is not injured.
Personally I would ship out many of these players like Tanner this Sumner, Kieron Evans at struggling non league Torquay etc are just a couple.
We can’t keep carrying them and we can’t keep signing players like Tanner if we want to do well or even stay in the Championship.

I would also move out if we stay up in the Championship:
Alnwick
Luthur
Campbell
Bagan
Sang
Harris
Whyte ?
Watters
Zimba
Evans
And any other player who we feel has no long-term future at the club.
The retention of Wickham has to be analyzed due to his appauling injury record. Possibly a deal slanted onto him actually being available for selection.
Denham, King, Croele, Leahy, Benjamin and Antwi need to be either shipped out on loan, if we feel they have a future - and I am not talking on loan to the Dog & Duck Welsh Premier League. Waste of time.

The issue is the transfer embargo. We cant get quality in and thats a big if in the summer come survival or relegation.
We need open dialogue from upper management as to what is the future from this club.

Interesting point, has any team been promoted or reached play offs with mainly on loan players?

The problem there lies with the Hierarchy and that could be with us for the whole of next season.
Everything that is happening from low budgets , different managers , more court cases etc only happens due to how our club is run.

Guessing a lot depends on If we keep the same manager especially after his comments about some of the players on Saturday…
I hope he stays and can see a few others being moved on if he does

All clubs need to stop hoarding young players in case they "miss" one.
There should be a European level restriction to say five loans from the U23 squad and none from the u18. This stops the bigger clubs just hoovering up any kid with a modicum of talent. You buy a player because you think he fits and you release those who are not named in the U23 squad of 21.
Crawley or Gillingham should have looked at this kid, not Cardiff City. Bristol, Cardiff or Swansea should have been the next natural step for Ampadu. Would Montando been better served playing games at city (tough one)
It doesn't do the player any good except his and his aganets bank balance. Simpson has barely played games because he was in the wrong squad and the wrong club, he should have been released earlier and played games in L2, he may be championship level but he needed to prove himself at L1 or L2 first. Same with Ojo, he has had enough chances in the championship and hasn't got better because he never make the starting line up or is sub'd. Balance that with Ivan Toney tosses around on loan, leaves Newcastle drops divisions, rips it apart and gets better and better and better, but he should have been released earlier.
Back to our kid, come on is it 6 levels jump he has made, we need to be kind, I guess its a massive jump in culture from low level semi pro to tier 2 professional, lets hope he makes it, but he looked very heavy for a pro.

Watford became famous for doing that as well.
