Welsh football question

Sun Apr 16, 2023 11:44 am

If we got relegated this season would Wales have to move their home games to the Swansea.com stadium?

I believe league 1 carry on as normal during the international windows and we need to give the CCS to the Welsh Fa 3 days before a home game would the EFL let us call off any home game or will the Welsh FA have to move them?

If we're in League One and have three or more players on international duty, we can postpone the game. There are several teams that have to do that every season when there's an international break.

So in that case it wouldn't be an issue.

Also, when fixture scheduling is decided for next season at the end of this season, all types of things are considered to determine who will play who when. Would imagine the FAW would request we don't have a home game when there's an international break, which the EFL would likely agree to.

Yep , the same was likely the case in Scotland for years . League club Queens Park home ground was actually Hampden so their fixtures would have been coordinated for Scotland games . I guess slightly different as I’d expect the SFA would own the ground .
