Let's sign Wrexham Stiker Paul Mullin. Goals galore, I hear Wrexham are scouting Allsop, throw in Kaba and Mark Harris too. Get it Done!

Surprised he is not in the Welsh set Up

The national league is crap compared to the championship, we've brought high scoring players in from lower leagues before and they have failed .
Sun Apr 23, 2023 8:14 am
Without doubt Mullen is a League 2 or possible a League 1 player. I don't agree he should be playing for Wales until he has played at a high level. Saying that we have brought in a none league player into the National team but that was when we were really desperate.
Sun Apr 23, 2023 8:14 am
Wouldn't get anywhere near the space he had last night at our level.

We have signed players with better stats from higher leagues that have flopped. For every vardy there are thousands whose name you have never heard of.
Not saying he’d be like that. But he’s playing players who are largely poorer and as such is a big fish in a small pond. Simpson is not a first team regular starter for us. Stick him in the Wrexham side and I dare say he’d be wiping the floor with all comers.

Funnily enough, i had a look at his stats last night.
He is a lower league terror like Stant was for us, but he is playing for a team who are constantly on the front foot, wearing teams down and playing against mistake-prone defenders.
I doubt he'd get a sniff against Kipre with Wintle Ralls or Rinomhota shielding

You must be having a laugh

He is nowhere near a Championship or International player having watched is all round game. Just prolific against some very poor defenders.
I assume the OP was a bit tongue in cheek especially as Kaba isn't our player and Mark Harris is out of contract.

Wrexham wouldn't sell for less than a few million, we have no money and we are under a transfer embargo. .
Sun Apr 23, 2023 4:00 pm
According to some Wrexham fans players would pick Wrexham over Cardiff now anyway as we will both be in league 1, 24/25 season.

the cheek lol

Fans can be some of the worse judges ever....
I remember early doors of the premier league that we were a bigger club than Everton and Malky could be in line for a top 6 club

Just when you think this Wrexham nonsense couldn't get any worse hahahaha
Wales squad? Come on.... Hahaha!!!

It might seem ridiculous but if Mark Harris can play in a World Cup cant see why Mullin cant get in the Wales squad. I know who i would rather in a City shirt.

Have you seen Harris at conference level, or Mullin at championship level? It's like comparing Akinfenwa to Messi.

The OP must be a wind up surely.
I’m not knocking Mullin but Watters had a higher level pedigree than Mullin and we know how good he was !!!
He even suggests throwing in Kaba (if he was ours to swap) to make it happen !! So we swap a player who now has a pretty impressive, albeit short, strike rate at Championship level for a player who has never even played at this level !!!!!
Mullin has been great for Wrexham, but, as we have seen many times before, the jump for strikers from National League, League 2 or even League 1 is huge and not many successfully make that jump. Particularly when Mullin is far from a youngster !!

First of all, Mullin won't leave Wrexham. They don't need to sell and he's already on good money there.
Not sure it's fair to say Watters has a better league pedigree though.
Watters scored 13 in 15 for Crawley in and 5 in 11 for MK Dons.
Last time Mullin was in League Two was the season he turned down a new contract at Cambridge to join Wrexham. He scored 32 goals in League Two that season.

If you give him a chance he will score, his two finishes were top drawer to be fair. He did well in the cup matches, works his socks off. I think he would do well at our level... Three points off relegation to league one

Who would win Cardiff vs Wrexham atm ?

Cardiff 9/10 times. Some excellent media and people act as if a team in the conference would beat a championship team!!

His second finish saw him defended by both a defender and a goalie carrying a bit of timber.

You yourself just said they would once in ten games.
Given our lack of goals this season & their ability to actually score goals I would put it at more like 50/50 at the moment. But your 9/10 would be realistic against most championship teams.
