Burnley are now officially Champions of the Sky Bet Championship this season.

They confirmed the title with a 1-0 win at local rivals Blackburn.

They're going straight back to the Premier League as Champions.

Sheffield United will join them in the Premier League next season if they win on Wednesday.

I think, well, hope, this may favour us in our final game as they've nothing to play for. Let's hope we're safe by then anyway but if not, maybe Bellers could have a word. Ahem.

Well done to Burnley - Champions for this season....Which will go down as one of the strangest for some time .
Back in October 2022 - We were saying how poor this league was - with no stand out team ...
We had at least 5 -6 different teams Top of this league by the end of October ( 3 in 1 week )

As posted QPR were top Oct - ( look where they are now ) BORO were down the bottom 5 ( look where they are now ) .
BURNLEY & SHEFF UTD - Went on a run from Nov onwards and are where they are now ...

Congratulations to them. I remember us celebrating the title at their ground under Malky. How times change.

Part of me can't help thinking Burnley deliberately dropped points last few games so they can win the title at Blackburn to rub their faces in it. They've been beating teams with ease most of the season it's a bit of a coincidence.
Happy for Bellamy also, hope he gets back on track.
