Not quite. 49pts can be reached by both Hudderfield (50pts) and Reading (49pts)

A win would be nice tomorrow though.

...... one is against Huddersfield?
Can someone work out if this is correct? Seems right due to Huddersfield and Reading playing each other on the last day of the season. Just trying to work out the least points required.
Bear with me.
Two draws and, say, a poor 3-0 loss would put us on 48pts and a goal difference of -17.
If Reading and Huddersfield draw then Reading can only get to 47pts.
If Huddersfield beat Reading then Reading, at most can only get 46pts.
If Reading beat Huddersfield. Then Huddersfield can, at best, get 48pts, like us, but having to beat Sheff U by 3 goals to do us on goal difference.
So as long as there is not a 6 goal swing between our loss and Huddefsfield's win at Sheff U we would be safe with 2 draws as long as one is against Huddersfield.
Yes I know, let's just get the win and draw needed

they cant both reach those as they play each other.
two draws will keep us up

If Reading win both their games (including Huddersfield) they will have 49pts.
So Hudderfield lose to reading but if they win their other two games they will have 50pts.

The real game we should be looking at is Reading v Wigan this Saturday. A Wigan win would be the perfect result for us. Then goal difference would come into it all. We have a much better goal difference that both Reading and Wigan. If we end up going down after that then we deserve to be in League One.
