Cameron Antwi suffers horrible-looking injury

Cardiff City midfielder Cameron Antwi 22 years old this year, had to be removed from the under-21s' game against Barnsley in the first half after a boot connected with his head which left him prone on the ground.

Cameron who was released by Blackpool Accademy a year ago where he joined Cardiff City.

Antwi, who has been in excellent form for the under-21s game , went to challenge for a bouncing ball just before the half-hour mark at Cardiff City Stadium before the worrying incident took place.

Barnsley's trialist, wearing the No.5, had his eyes squarely on the ball as it bounced towards his path. Antwi saw an opportunity to nick possession high up the pitch and made a beeline to win the ball as he attempted to steal possession with a header.

The Tykes trialist, though, did not see him coming and made direct and forceful contact with Antwi, whose knees them appeared to buckle beneath him as he collapsed to the floor.

Players from both teams threw their hands to their heads as the youngster hit the ground and the Bluebirds' medical staff rushed to treat him.

As the game stopped for several minutes, there was eventually signs for some positivity as Antwi was helped to his feet and was carried off with the help of two of Cardiff's medical team. He was eventually replaced by Joel Colwill.
